INDIANAPOLIS

There’s work to done.

Not since the 2003 season when Mike Leonard took over the coaching reins of the Franklin College football team have the Grizzlies started 0-2.

In a picturesque setting at the Butler Bowl, the host Bulldogs defeated Franklin 42-13 in a game that was put out of reach in the first half.

The Grizzlies lost their first game of the year a week ago to perennial football power Mount Union.

In its home opener on Saturday and first game under the lights since 1941, Butler, led by junior quarterback Matt Lancaster, took a commanding 27-0 lead at the half.
