Curly brown hair fell to the ground with every pass of the electric clippers.
Almost a full year had passed since Keegan McCarthy had finished treatments for childhood leukemia. After losing his hair during chemotherapy, a shaggy brown mop cut has grown back on his head.
But McCarthy decided to shave it all off again. That was his way of showing other kids battling cancer that he stood with them.
“It was hard giving that up.
It hasn’t grown back as curly. But I had to do it,” he said.
