INDIANAPOLIS

Decatur Central came out ready to shadow Greenwood feature back Kole Stogner wherever he went in their Mid-State Conference showdown Friday night.

That only allowed Woodmen quarterback Ben Heller to cast a long shadow of his own.

The senior torched the Hawks for 209 yards and four scores, three off play-fakes to Stogner, as Greenwood broke a six-year losing streak against their conference nemesis in a convincing 52-17 road win.

The victory keeps the Class 4A No. 5 Woodmen perfect at 7-0 and moves them a step closer to the Mid-State title. They can wrap up at least a share at home Friday against Franklin before closing at Whiteland.
