If things go as planned, Brett DeHart by June will have competed in five varsity sports since his freshman year.

Cross-country ultimately gave way to tennis as the Indian Creek junior’s fall specialty. Come spring, he will have his sights set on baseball after taking part in track and field as a 10th-grader.

Winter is the lone constant. It’s here the 5-foot-9 point guard runs the show for coach Derek Perry’s boys basketball team, a program off to its best start in years at 8-2.
