It’s time candidates started debating im-sportant issues

My mailbox is empty.

Still, I hold out hope.

As the presidential candidates prepare for their first debate Wednesday night, my concern is that the issues that really matter are going to be neglected.

Will we really focus on foreign relations and the economy when so many important sports questions remain unasked?

Don’t bore me with tax policy. What I really want to know is which candidate has the better view on how to solve the college football playoff mess.
