One of college football’s unwritten traditions is the layer of confetti players of the teams competing in the BCS Title Game wade through once a champion is finally determined.

Maybe it would be a good idea to double up on the number of paper fragments this time around.

Regardless of whether players from Florida State or Auburn euphorically hoist the BCS Trophy the night of Jan. 6 in the Rose Bowl, the BCS will have officially exhaled its final breaths.
