Ivy Tech Community College–Columbus/Franklin will launch a creative writing club with a reading by an Indiana author.

Andrew Scott, an assistant professor of English at Ball State University and a fiction and nonfiction author, will read from his work at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 at the Ivy Tech Gallery of Fine Art & Design in Poling Hall in Columbus.

A brief question-and-answer session will follow, and copies of the author’s book will be available for purchase.

Scott is the author of a short story collection, “Naked Summer,” and a story chapbook, “Modern Love.” His fiction and nonfiction have appeared in Esquire, The Cincinnati Review and many other publications. He is co-editor of Freight Stories, an online fiction journal.
