Letter: Article mischaracterized county fair encounter

To the editor:

In the article (“Woman takes anger with ruling to streets,”

April 11) Ms. (Marla) Clark mentioned that I approached her at the county fair to discuss my custody case she was hearing. I did approach her booth, but it was because my grandchild wanted to get one of the stickers and a candy bar that were being passed out. At no time did I want to discuss the case with her. I know that would have jeopardized my case.

I wish you would have contacted me about the comments made by Ms. Clark concerning the county fair before publishing the story. It is my understanding that a comment in a news article must be confirmed prior to being published.
