Letter: Greenwood’s sway over schools’ funding unfair

Shame on the state legislators who set up this TIF arrangement — taxation without representation.

Businesses, farms and homeowners in Whiteland and Clark Township have their taxes increased and their schools degraded by the Greenwood City Council, whom they cannot vote for or even complain about.

Why should the city of Greenwood have authority to take tax revenue away from Clark-Pleasant schools (or Center Grove schools)? They should only have a say on the Greenwood municipal portion of the property tax.
