To the editor:
The article about Bargersville and Greenwood swapping sewer systems made me laugh. Greenwood lost money on a wastewater system they built for a housing development that “never developed.” Greenwood was in debt to Indianapolis for hundreds of thousands of dollars for wastewater treatment. They have been fined and are under EPA scrutiny for the lift station by Honey Creek that overflowed a couple of years ago.
This agreement is going to turn out like the North Korea “no nukes” agreement or the recent Iran agreement to stop producing a nuclear bomb.
Like Wimpy said, “If you give me a hamburger today, I will pay you tomorrow.”
