To the editor:
The charges and counter-charges are coming fast in the U.S. Senate race. I want to respond to one as a taxpayer.
The reason for the Chrysler bailout was due to Indiana State Retirement Funds holding bonds they bought in Chrysler. The taxpayers of Indiana were to be hurt by the Democrat bailout plan.
I am glad that opposition was raised by Richard Mourdock to protect all Indiana taxpayers, not just a few which would be beholden to the Democrats.
