Letter: Ray of sunlight comes knocking at the door

To the editor:

On Feb. 5, the front page as usual had a killing — then I turned the page — there was a ray of sunshine. Eleri Norcross, 9 years old, smiling up at me.

I hung her picture on the wall where I sit every day so I can see that beautiful little girl doing good for herself and for everyone who likes Girl Scout cookies.

If you have never had a Girl Scout cookie, I’m sure if Eleri came to your door, that look on her face would want you to try one box. Me, I like almost all of them. Just wanted you to know how much that picture means to me. It makes you want to smile, too.
