To the editor:
Lori Borgman hit the nail on the head in her column on Oct. 24. The article was in regard to a Pew Research poll that found 80 percent of Americans being dissatisfied with the way things are going. She ended the article by saying, “Never have so many been so dissatisfied and so unwilling to do anything about it.”
People need to realize YOU are the answer. Speak up, whether it’s a problem in the family, the city government, the school or Washington, D.C. We have so many ways to communicate now there should be no excuses. You have email, snail mail, fax, phone, Twitter, Facebook, and the oldie but goodie, face-to-face confrontation. You can make a statement by canceling subscriptions to papers, magazines, a cable network, withholding contributions to churches, clubs, charities or political parties.
You could attend a demonstration or boycott stores or products. Just DO it.
