Letter: Letter writer judged contents of book by title

The writer whose letter was published in the Nov. 25 Daily Journal reacting to my book, “What No Eye Has Seen,” and its subtitle, “Why We All Should Look Forward to Heaven,” did indeed miss the point.

It was not my intention to promote universal salvation. “What No Eye Has Seen” is a Christian book, written for Christians and published by a Christian publisher. On page 66, I state in two words how one finds the assurance of heaven, which is to “trust Jesus.”

I wrote “What No Eye Has Seen” out of concern that many people who do trust Jesus still lack assurance of salvation. It’s too bad Dale (Byrom) didn’t read the book but just reacted to the title because it touched a theological hot button issue for him.
