The Johnson County Public Library Board is working on a plan for how the library should change or grow during the next five years, and you can weigh in.
Library officials expect to spend about $30,000 on consulting fees to come up with a new five-year strategic plan for the countywide library system. The plan will outline what services and programs the library should provide and whether any projects are needed at any of the four branches, director Beverly Martin said.
A plan could identify whether any parts of the county aren’t receiving enough services and whether, for instance, a new branch should be added in Bargersville, Martin said.
Most recently, the current five-year plan called for a new Franklin library. The district then proposed a $30 million Franklin library project that was resoundingly defeated in a referendum.
