Local athletes win conference titles

Two Johnson County athletes won individual conference championships last week.
Indiana State sprinter
Katie Wise, an Indian Creek High School graduate, won the 60-meter dash at the Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 7.51. The freshman was sixth in the 200 meters in 24.99.
IUPUI swimmer Jenny
Oleksiak, a Franklin Community High School graduate, won the 200-yard breaststroke at the Summit League Swimming and Diving Championships with a time of 2:17.91. She placed third in the 100 breaststroke (1:04.59) and sixth in the 200 IM (2:06.52).
