HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER
Phil Orlando, Center Grove High School’s boys varsity soccer coach since 1999, has retired after leading the Trojans to 13 sectional titles during his 14 seasons.
Inducted into the Indiana Soccer Hall of Fame earlier this year, Orlando, 64, led the Trojans to their first-ever semistate final appearance this season. They lost to eventual Class 2A state champion Columbus North in the title match.
Orlando’s record at Center Grove was 260-123-92.
