The weeks ahead present Center Grove’s boys basketball program no less than four golden opportunities to make a resounding statement.

Starting with tonight’s home game against Pike, the Trojans from now until Jan. 10 tipoff against four teams currently undefeated. Three are ranked among the top four in Class 4A — No. 1 Carmel, second-ranked Pike and No. 4 Cathedral.

Adding Pike and Lawrence Central to the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference only improved what for 16 seasons had been one of Indiana’s elite boys basketball leagues.
