A man was shot in the hand outside this Steak 'n Shake restaurant located at U.S. 31 and Stop 11 Road early Wednesday during an attempted robbery.

An 18-year-old man was shot in the hand during an attempted robbery outside a southside restaurant early Wednesday.
Police are now looking for two men who were seen running from the scene of the shooting at Steak ‘n Shake at U.S. 31 and Stop 11 Road.
Engin Erciyas, 18, of Indianapolis, was waiting on food he ordered from Steak ‘n Shake about 3:40 a.m. Wednesday. He stepped outside the restaurant at 7960 U.S. 31 to smoke a cigarette.
