On a good day, Jessica Strange can drive to work in 50 minutes.
But on the worst of days, the Trafalgar resident could spend more than two hours in the car, commuting to or from her job at the Indiana Statehouse. And she’s far from the only Johnson County resident hitting the road each day for work.
More than half of local workers, or 59 percent, commute from Johnson County to a different county for their job, with most heading north into Marion County, according to commuting statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau.
