As the end of 2012 creeps closer, new words and phrases keep flying around in my head like the Kansas tornado that took Dorothy to the Land of Oz.
Words and phrases that came into existence at the same time a third-grader or high school freshman were born.
Last week, my 16-year-old high-schooler was in the middle of her history assignment when she said, “That’s cool. Mom, do you know where Tomlinson Hall is?”
