A Center Grove area family’s house was destroyed Friday in a fire that has been ruled an arson.
Two adults and two children were at home when the fire started about 5:22 a.m. The four family members were out of the house before firefighters arrived, according to a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report.
No one in the family was injured, but the fire caused smoke and water damage throughout the house at 5293 Mount Pleasant St. The house was destroyed, White River Fire Chief Jeremy Pell said.
A fire investigator ruled the cause of the fire as arson after finding an accelerant, Pell said.
