The county will begin charging storm water permit fees to all developments, instead of ones on file since 2008.
The storm water permit fee is 50 percent of the cost of the building permit, and covers the cost of site reviews to make sure that new buildings won’t lead to pollution from runoff, interim county planning director Allen Kirk said.
Kirk said the office has to perform the review regardless of whether the fee is paid, so he felt that all properties should be included.
