Pair arrested in molestation case

A man has been charged with child molesting, and a woman has been charged with child neglect for failing to report it to police.

Richard Quintus Wagner, 25, 1445 Dowell St., Greenwood, and Michele Lee Wagner, 28, 5 Bray Court, Greenwood, were arrested this week after police said Richard Wagner inappropriately touched an 8-year-old girl. The girl told Michele Wagner about four different incidents, and Wagner did not contact police, according to a probable-cause affidavit.

The Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office charged Richard Wagner with one count of child molesting, and Michele Wagner was charged with neglect of a dependent.
