A weekend explosion west of Nineveh was caused by two men shooting at a target, police said.
Two residents in the area reported hearing an explosion in the 1100 block of West County Road 750S about 5 p.m. Sunday. Police found that two men at a property had shot an exploding target with a rifle, causing the noise, according to a police report from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
