A Franklin woman has been charged with forgery after police said she wrote fraudulent checks and took $21,000 from a car dealership.

Rebecca S. Sharp, 38, 3238 E. County Road 150S, was arrested on one charge of forgery.

During the investigation, police discovered deposits totaling $21,000 from Ray Skillman GMC, Indianapolis, in a bank account held by Sharp’s husband, according to a police report.
