Police seek information on pedestrian hit-and-run

Franklin police are looking for any information about a vehicle that hit a woman in an alley Thursday night or early Friday morning.

A woman was in the alley between Hurricane and Yandes streets north of Hamilton Avenue when she was struck from behind by a vehicle. The woman woke up several hours later on the ground and had a facial injury, Franklin Police Department Detective Adam Joseph said.

She reported the incident to police about 8 a.m. Friday, but the accident occurred sometime the previous night. Police aren’t sure exactly when she was hit and don’t have a description of the vehicle because she never saw it, Joseph said.

Anyone who might have seen the a vehicle leaving the alley or knows anything about the incident should contact Joseph at 346-1145.
