Police seek suspect in convenience store robbery




The Greenwood Police Department is looking for a man who stole money from a convenience store at knifepoint.

The man demanded money from a Village Pantry clerk at about 4:30 a.m. May 4 at the store, 99 N. Madison Ave. The clerk opened the cash register and stepped away, and the man grabbed money and fled from the store, according to a news release.

The man is in his mid-20s, about 6-feet tall and 160 pounds. He wore a maroon cap with the letter K on it, dark pants, a dark jacket, gray shirt and a mask covering the lower half of his face, the release said.
