Police are looking for the man who hit a store manager and stole a bank deposit in New Whiteland.
The manager of the Dollar General store, 235 U.S. 31 North, called police about 6:30 a.m. Monday and said he had been robbed in the parking lot, New Whiteland Police Chief Ed Stephenson said.
The manager told police he was walking outside with the store deposit and planned to go to the bank. A man approached him, demanded the money and then hit him in the face, Stephenson said.
The man, who was between 5 feet, 8 inches and 5 feet, 9 inches tall and had his face covered,
ran away and headed north on U.S. 31.
