Police are warning local homeowners to be on the lookout after four residents reported a man has taken their money without doing the work promised.
The same man has gone to at least four Center Grove area homes this month, offered to do asphalt and other repairs, and then never did the work, according to a police report.
Residents paid the man between $600 and $4,500 each. When he did not show up to do the work, residents found the number they had for him was disconnected, the reports said.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the complaints. Bargersville police are investigating similar complaints from residents in the town.
