Public input sought on water rate hike

Thousands of Johnson County residents facing a potential water rate increase can give their opinion on the hike during an upcoming public hearing.

The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, the state board that will consider a request to raise Indiana American Water rates, will host a public hearing at Franklin Community High School at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor, which represents consumers in rate increase requests, will present an information session at 5:30 p.m, outlining the process for rate changes.
