Pumpkin, costume event planned at library

You can show off your creativity at the Trafalgar library Tuesday in some pre-Halloween celebrations and a contest.

From 6:30 to 8 p.m., the library will host a pumpkin decorating contest and a costume parade after the Friends of Johnson County Public Library’s annual meeting.

Anyone who dresses as a favorite literary character — such as Jane Austen, Dracula or Frankenstein — will get a prize.

Go to a local library branch or www.jcplin.org for an entry from for the pumpkin contest.
