Residents and business owners hadn’t reported serious damage after rain and melted snow flooded streets and low-lying areas, but water levels could continue to rise around creeks and rivers through tomorrow morning.

Homes, businesses and roads took on water after about 5 inches of rain fell in some parts of the county, in addition to snow that melted and had already made the water level in ditches, creeks and rivers high.

Although the damage isn’t nearly as extensive as the flood of 2008, the evacuations and water rescues occurred in some of the same places that were devastated by heavy rain more than five years ago.
