Stormi Machlan’s parents didn’t always make enough money to support her and her six siblings, and she imagined that whenever she left high school she would have to step up and care for her siblings.
Machlan enjoyed and did well in school, which on some days was her escape from home. But she didn’t think her high grades would get her anywhere.
