Greenwood residents in an area west of U.S. 31 woke up Thursday to find someone had rummaged through and stolen change and electronics from their cars.

Residents made 11 reports to police that someone had gotten into their vehicles and taken items including jewelry, money and wallets.

All but one of the reports made Thursday were in the same one-mile area west of U.S. 31 in Greenwood. All of the cars were unlocked, Greenwood Assistant Police Chief Matt Fillenwarth said.

The same person or group is most likely responsible for the break-ins, but police do not have any suspects, Fillenwarth said.
