The receptionist at a Franklin optometrist’s office has gotten at least two calls a day from confused patients since the road leading to the office building closed.
Each time, the patient reported coming to a roadblock on West Jefferson Street, two blocks away from where the patient was set to have an appointment in just a few moments. They can see the office, but they don’t know how to get there.
So Janet Lutes tells the patients how to use a detour that takes them around the construction. The office schedule is behind because most patients now are late, and that means everyone has to wait for their appointments. Lutes is looking forward to Wednesday, when the road is set to reopen and those calls will end.
