Roots of racism focus of Franklin College lecture

Franklin College will host a speaker in celebration of Black History Month on Thursday.

Daryl Davis will give his lecture, “Klan-Destine Relationships,” at 7 p.m. in the Branigin Room of the Napolitan Student Center.

In order to determine the roots of racism, he began meeting with Roger Kelly, imperial wizard of the Invincible Empire Knights of the Klu Klux Klan. Davis’ lecture will discuss his relationship with Kelly and other encounters he has had with Klansmen.
