Bobby Cox claims not to be experiencing pregame jitters.
With Indiana two days from debuting a sixth class of high school football, the IHSAA commissioner is confident it’s a move that had to be made.
“I think it was time to make a change in our tournament. It was fairly evident the schools with the larger enrollments dominated (Class 5A),” said Cox. “I think what it’s done is insert more energy into the (postseason) tournament. The regular season is not going to be any different with schools playing within their conferences, but the tournament will have a different feel.”
