The Franklin girls basketball team routed visiting Monrovia 50-23 on Tuesday night.
Once Franklin began busting up visiting Monrovia’s offense in the second quarter, the Grizzly Cubs broke it wide open on its way to improving to 5-3. The turnover-prone Bulldogs dropped to 2-4.
“We came out for the first 10 or 11 minutes and let them set the tempo,” said longtime Grizzly Cub coach Walt Raines. “They’re big, and we just let them walk the ball up the floor. We have to put teams on their heels.”
