Tower site of city's offices: Greenwood buys former Presnell building for hall

Greenwood has bought a new city hall for $1.75 million, or about half the asking price a few years ago.

As soon as next fall, most city government offices will move into the Old Town’s tallest building: the Presnell Cos. tower at the southwest corner of Main Street and Madison Avenue.

Mayor Mark Myers signed an agreement last week to buy it out of a foreclosure court in Michigan. The deal should close by the end of the year.
