Two teens arrested on alcohol charges

Two teens were arrested and another was taken to the juvenile detention center after police were called to Franklin College this past weekend.

Police arrested Cody Ray Heller, 18, of Fillmore, and Jordan Walsman, 18, of Batesville, on a charge of possession, consumption or transportation of alcohol by a minor.

Walsman also was arrested on a charge of resisting law enforcement after attempting to hit and kick a police officer, according to the Franklin Police Department report.

Police found both teens at Elsey Hall at Franklin College after 1 a.m. Sunday. Heller and a 17-year-old girl were vomiting in a bathroom. Walsman was lying down in another room and was unresponsive, the police reports said.
