A home invader startled a sleeping Greenwood woman, repeatedly raped her at knifepoint and threatened to harm her then-1-year-old daughter, who was sleeping in bed with her, she testified in court Tuesday.
The victim testified in Johnson Circuit Court on Tuesday that the man, later identified as Shawn Corbally, took a knife from her kitchen drawer, got on top of her while she slept and pressed the dull blade so hard to her neck that it left a scar.
While Corbally sat only a few feet away, the victim told the jury that he asked her how she would feel if he used the knife to chop up her then-9-year-old son. At one point she had to put a hand on her stirring daughter to keep her from waking, because she feared he would hurt or kill her.
“I did everything he asked because I thought if I didn’t, I’m dead and my kids are dead,” she said.
