For 50 years, the yard and patio of her Franklin home was a source of pride.
Rosalee White, 74, laid the bricks for her front walk and planted the vines that grow in her front yard. Her patio was where she had family cookouts. But for the past year and a half, White’s patio and yard have been in need of maintenance while she has been in and out of nursing homes for health issues, including cancer.
She got the help she needed Thursday through United Way’s annual Day of Caring. Vectren employees trimmed bushes, brushed leaves and dirt from the patio and cleaned up her yard.
