When Indianapolis began ramping up for Super Bowl XLVI, Whiteland resident Mike Wynn received a request from USA Football.
A partner of the NFL, the national organization wanted to know if Wynn, the director of the Whiteland Warrior Youth Football League, could provide players for a clinic on health and safety at the NFL Experience during Super Bowl week in Indianapolis.
It was an easy request to grant.
“They gave me a call and asked if I could produce some players,” said Wynn, who has been a member of USA Football for six years. “And we were glad to do it.”
