A student who wanted to pull a prank at Whiteland Community High School by leaving a bomb threat in a restroom has been arrested.
No evidence of a bomb was found, and neither school officials nor police believe students were ever in any danger. But police are concerned about the school’s delay in notifying officers of the potential threat, Whiteland Town Marshal Rick Shipp said.
The teenage boy was arrested just before midnight Friday by the Whiteland Police Department. His name is not being released because he is a minor, Shipp said.
