Violet V. “Vickie” (Price) Parkhurst, 70, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, in Indianapolis. She was a resident of New Whiteland.
Survivors include five children, Donnie (Mitsye) Parkhurst of Indianapolis, Mathew (Susan) Parkhurst of North Dakota, Tammy Simpson of Whiteland, Lori (Alan) Granger of West Baden and Scott (Susanne) Parkhurst of Martinsville; three sisters, Judy Strader and Wanda (Rodney Barger) Lumpkin, both of Indianapolis, and Cathy (Roger) Wyatt of Gosport; three brothers, Bob (Sandy) Price of Florida, Jack (Betty) Price of Southport and Tom (Mary) Price of Indianapolis; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin L. and Viola (Fortner) Price; her husband, Everett D. Parkhurst; and two brothers, Walt and Mike Price.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. 31 North. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
