Artie Church, 87, passed away Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at Homeview Healthcare Center in Franklin. He was a lifelong resident of Bargersville.
He was born Aug. 14, 1925, in Bargersville, the son of Artie R. Church and Opal (Wagaman) Church.
He is survived by two nephews, Duane K. (Sandy) Church of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Jerry B, (Brenda) Church of Bargersville; a niece, Patricia R. (Rudy) Wilkins of Indianapolis; three great-nieces; three great-nephews; four great-great-nieces; five great-great-nephews; one great-great-great niece; and one great-great-great nephew.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; and two brothers, Jasper and C. William “Bill” Church.
He attended Center Grove schools.
Artie was a farmer and also was known as a clock repairman.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at First Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Franklin.
