Robert Dion “Dbo” Hudson, 50, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, in Fountaintown. He was a resident of Fountaintown.

Dion was born Nov. 6, 1961, in Indianapolis.

He graduated from Southport High School and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

He married Kathleen Luttrell on March 31, 2001, in Garfield Park Indianapolis.

He was a member of and was employed with International Laborers Union Local 120 as a laborer for 13 years in Indianapolis.

Dion enjoyed fishing, boating and watching NASCAR. He was an avid card player and played cards every Tuesday at the New Palestine Lions Club. He enjoyed listening to music and playing his guitar.

He loved spending time with his friends, family and grandchildren.

Dion was a strong man and fought a brave fight against cancer for four years.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen (Luttrell) Hudson of Fountaintown; his mother, Bonnie Patrick Stuck of Indianapolis; five children, Nick Hudson, Katie Hudson, Blake Hudson, Jeanette (James) Edsall and Mark (Christina) Loman, all of Indianapolis; a sister, Beverly Hudson, and sister-in-law, Jamie Decker, both of Indianapolis; and nine grandchildren, Kyleaha, Alan and Aliana Serrato-Edsall, Bryce, Eli and Aubrey Loman, and Dominic, Matthew and Dalton Dion Hudson; and his dog, Tippy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rondell Wayne Hudson.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. 31 North. Friends and family may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
