Thomas J. Arkins, 63, of Greenwood, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012.
He was born June 13, 1949, in Beech Grove, son of the late Thomas E. and Mildred (Brossart) Arkins.
Tom is survived by his wife, Kathy Arkins; six sons, Thomas (Becky), Jason (Joy), Casey (Jennifer), Bryan (Erin), Adam (Cori), and Austin Arkins; nine grandchildren, Chase, Cameron, Kira, Olivia, Hannah, Savannah, Cooper, Ellanor and Avilynn; and a sister, Carolyn Kinney.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tim Arkins and Ron Hammond; and a grandson, Benjamin.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 8300 Rahke Road, Indianapolis. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. State Road 135 and Olive Branch Road. Prayers will be conducted at 8:45 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Tom will be laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Glenns Valley, Greenwood.
