Ola Beatrice “Bea” Hughes, 85, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012. She was a resident of Greenwood, formerly of Indianapolis.
Survivors include two daughters, Theresa “Teri” Adkins and Melinda (Dan) Moriarty, both of Indianapolis; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace “Wally” Hughes; her parents, Ola B. and Iza Rather Ballard; a daughter, Phyllis Elaine Mahan; two brothers, James and Willie Ballard; and a sister, Frances Evelyene Williams.
A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 7602 Madison Ave., Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
